WHAT IS NDIS?

What is the NDIS? The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to individuals with disabilities. It is designed to help people with disabilities achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.

If your child has been diagnosed with a disability, you can apply for NDIS funding. This funding can be used to pay for a wide range of services and support, including therapy, counselling, respite care, and more. You can apply for NDIS funding yourself or hire a professional to assist you with the application process.

Once you receive NDIS funding, you may need help managing it. There are trained professionals who can assist you with this, including support coordinators and plan managers. These professionals can help you understand how to use your funding to access the services and support you need.

In addition to funding for services, the NDIS also allows you to hire a support worker to help you with a variety of activities. These can include personal care, in-home care, help around the house, transport, therapy attendance, home organiaation, cleaning, housekeeping, and meal planning and cooking.

Overall, the NDIS can provide valuable support and resources to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. If you or your child have a disability, it's worth exploring the NDIS as an option for assistance.
